Best Practices for Placements

  • Review and analyze performance from periods & YTD
  • Review publishers’ media kits to determine which placements are in your price range, and which will get you the most exposure
  • Define clear targets and success rates with affiliate partners (increase AOV, new customer acquisition, increase profitability, improve ROI, be more/less promotional, etc.).  Are you looking for new customers?  Are you looking to increase the traffic to site? Make sure to communicate this in order to find the best opportunities
  • Review your promotional calendar to ensure you are running placements when you have the most aggressive offers live in the account 
  • Develop projections for each and negotiate rates for placements
  • Secure placements in advance of key promotional or holiday dates
  • Request list of necessary assets and due dates from affiliate
  • Confirm when publishers need access to offers for placements and if any creative is needed
  • Confirm all links and banners for placement offers are active and have correct tracking and landing pages in the Pepperjam Interface
  • Check placements are live during the full duration of the placement
  • Payout publishers in timely manner
  • Analyze placement data to gauge success
